Kumusta! My name is Jhosa Ria Banca Stewart, but everybody knows me as Ms. Kim. I was born in the Philippines where I studied Hotel and Restaurant Administration at the Philippine Women's University. I moved to Hong Kong when I married my husband. I have one daughter who is studying at RCHK. I love working with children and excited to work with the Primary LET team. When I'm not at work, I like to travel, go dancing and watch movies.

Although I was born and brought up in India I’ve spent my adolescent years in Belize attaining a background in Business Administration. My marriage brought me to one of the most efficient, lively, and beautiful places in the world, Hong Kong! Here, I’ve followed my passion for working with young learners and this is my fourth year working with ESF. I have two very active kids of my own aged five and seven who are also joining RCHK.

I began teaching in 2003 after completing a BA at the University of Victoria and my BEd at the University of British Columbia. After teaching one year in Vancouver, Canada, I moved to Hong Kong where I have worked in local schools, the French International School, Clearwater Bay School and now at Renaissance College. While teaching at FIS I completed my MEd with distinction through the University of Bristol. I joined Renaissance in August of 2018 and I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I have ever made! I love being part of an amazing teaching staff that provides engaging, enjoyable and immersive learning experiences for the students of RCHK. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my wife and children. We all have a love learning, enjoy getting outside in Hong Kong, travelling to far off lands or just spending time together at home.

I have been working at Renaissance College for several years with the Learning Enhancement Team. I am originally from Jonestown, Texas, a small community on the North Shore of Lake Travis near Austin, Texas. I began my educational career in the Austin Independent School District working with special populations at the public Alternative Elementary School. That experience gave me the foundation to understand students' social and emotional lives and how they foster good academic practices. Having come from a performance background, I enjoy using imagination to aid students in learning new concepts and creating new and innovative ways to present content. My name is Alison Crosbie and I come from the U.K. After completing my PGCE, I taught in London for three years. I started my international teaching journey back in 2006 in Bogota, Colombia. Mr. Doucette is originally from Prince Edward Island, Canada. I am Scottish but I was born and raised in Hong Kong, completing all of my primary and secondary education here. I originally joined RCHK as a Year 3 teacher in 2007, when the school was relatively new. I then stopped teaching full time in order to start a family, and I have enjoyed working across the Year Levels as a supply teacher with ESF for many years. My twin daughters attend RCHK and I am very excited to be rejoining the school as a full-time member of staff. I was born in England, have a degree in Business and started my career in marketing and revenue management for the airline industry. We moved to Hong Kong in 2009 and my two children joined RCHK first, they loved the school so much that I had to join the faculty too as an Educational Assistant, which led me to be trained as an ELSA. My passion is emotional literacy and teaching students important skills to help with their wellbeing. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, travelling, crocheting and reading.

I am originally from Slovakia but I moved to the UK when I was 14. I completed a marketing degree in Nottingham before embarking on my teaching career. I have spent the past six years teaching internationally. I taught English Language in Vietnam and Australia to both children and adults, before moving to Hong Kong and joining RCHK in 2019. I love sharing my passion for learning with others, and I create a supportive, engaging and challenging environment that encourages students to take risks and to embrace their own love of learning. When I'm not in the classroom, I spend my time travelling, baking, hiking, rock climbing, skiing and spending time with my husband and dog.

I am Canadian born Chinese and have been living in Hong Kong for seventeen years. Wanting to explore another city, I decided to study in Toronto. As a Renaissance College alumna, I'm excited to bring in new perspectives from my experiences working with children in hospitals, classrooms, family centres, etc. overseas. Dr Stephanie Howdle-Lang was born in the UK and, after spending six years in the Middle East, settled in Hong Kong. Her doctoral research has significantly contributed to understanding child wellbeing in educational settings, particularly within Hong Kong. Outside of her professional life, Stephanie loves revisiting familiar countries and exploring new ones, especially with friends and family. She enjoys spending time outdoors, particularly near the sea, and is a keen swimmer who looks forward to the outdoor pool season in Hong Kong.

I am originally from London, UK and I obtained my Bachelors degree in the UK. I am a permanent resident of Hong Kong and obtained my PGDE from the University of Hong Kong. At RCHK I help out with the woodwind instruments in the Year 6 band. I also run the Primary Sustainability Club. I left RCHK in June 2017 to temporarily serve as Principal of a brand new Reggio-inspired kindergarten in Kennedy Town. I love travelling and was also, in my younger years, an exchange student in Germany. I have taught in New Zealand, Germany and now Hong Kong, working in PYP settings for about 13 of those years. I continue to grow my particular passion for teaching mathematics, having also led mathematics in a number of schools. I am really looking forward to now working with the learners at RCHK.

Hi, my name is Pinky and I am from Jakarta, Indonesia. I was born and brought up there and am now married to my husband who lives in Hong Kong. We have 3 girls and they go to RCHK too. When I started teaching in 2006, my mother shared with me a set of "life goals" that I had written as a Year 5 student. They were, in order, teach, travel and own a motorcycle. Teaching has been my highest aspiration for as long as I can remember. I have taught my entire career in Asia, beginning in Guangzhou and most recently in Hanoi. The bulk of my career has been spent in Hong Kong. Though I was born in Canada, I consider Hong Kong a second home. It is a thrill to be teaching at a large school like RCHK, which still manages to maintain a small school feel.

I still consider myself a true 'Geordie' even though I've lived in Asia for over 20 years. I have a B.A. (Hons) RCA Fashion Design degree and worked as a fashion designer in Hong Kong before joining Renaissance. This is my 11th year at RCHK. My interests include art, travel, fashion and fitness. I try to practise yoga whenever possible and one of my goals this year is to be able to do the Hanumanasana posture (full splits).

Hi everyone! I feel incredibly lucky to be joining such a brilliant department and school this academic year. Although being from Ireland and beginning my teaching career there, I have spent the past 7 years teaching in Madrid, Spain. I’m excited to bring all that I’ve learnt with me into this new chapter here at RCHK and help my students find a love for PE.

I spent 9 years teaching at Sha Tin Junior School (SJS) and am delighted to move within ESF to RCHK. Whilst at SJS, I taught a variety of age levels and held leadership roles as Lead Teacher Inclusion, Teaching and Learning, as well as, Lead Teacher Information Literacy. I am passionate about establishing inclusive, student-centred learning environments and nurturing wellbeing. In my spare time, I love to spend time with my family, go to the beach, sing and learn more about education!

Hello! I was born and raised in England and I have been teaching internationally since 2010. During this time, I have worked in PYP schools in China, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. I am looking forward to continuing my journey with the IB Primary Years Programme at Renaissance College. Within the context of education, two particular passions that I possess are reading aloud and developing initiatives to enhance young people’s financial literacy. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, travelling, listening to podcasts and spending quality time with my wife and two young children.

I love working as an EA and RCHK is my second teaching position. I was working in the LET department at Kowloon Junior School for the last 10 years. I love travelling and have lived in six different countries: Indonesia, New Zealand, USA, Norway, Singapore and Hong Kong. I have two beautiful children studying at the University of Oxford and University of Edinburgh.

Hi! I was born and raised in Hong Kong, where I worked for seven years in a local school. I have also spent one and a half years working in various ESF schools, enjoying surrounding myself with so many wonderful children. I am very glad to get the opportunity to be a part of the RCHK Community. I absolutely love working with the staff and kids of Year 3. In my spare time I enjoy baking, dancing, listening to music and travelling.  

I was born in Hong Kong and grew up in Canada. I have worked with a wide range of learners, from kindergarteners to university adults, in different settings. I am passionate about giving young learners a positive education experience, supporting them to gain agency and encouraging them to develop a growth mindset, so they can carry this learning attitude to become compassionate internationally-minded lifelong learners. In addition to being a primary teacher, I am also a qualified swim teacher and dog trainer! I enjoy open water swimming, arts and crafts, camping, and travelling. I look forward to teaching and learning with your children!

I was born and educated in the UK.  Having taught both in the UK and HK, I have had experience across all the different primary year levels and have also been a Years 1-3 Level Co-ordinator.  In addition, I have taught Business English to adults, English as an Additional Language to children and was the Director of Studies for a language school.  I have been at RCHK since it first opened its doors and have served both on RAPT and the College Council.  My interests include reading, history, movies, zumba and pilates.

Hi, I am from London UK but have spent time living and working overseas for the past 22 years in various international schools. I have been living in Hong Kong for eight years with my husband and two children, who are all part of the RCHK family! In my spare time I enjoy hiking the mountains and beaches, listening to and playing music, and exploring the cultural riches of Hong Kong. I am very excited to be working in the Primary school, and look forward to a great year ahead.

Hi, my name is Sue Wong. I am British-born Chinese from a very small seaside resort called Cleethorpes on the North East Coast of England. I moved to Hong Kong with my family nine years ago. I started working at Renaissance in 2010 and am always looking forward to another fun-filled year working with fantastic staff and children at RCHK. My interests are travelling, tennis, Zumba, reading, going out to restaurants, shopping and most of all spending lots of quality time having fun with my two sons Jamie and Archie.

My name is Lilian Wong. I am an international school educator. With over 20 years of experience in various international schools served in Hong Kong and Beijing, such as Chinese International School, Quarry Bay School, Discovery College, and International School of Beijing. I am a lifelong learner. From the different roles I played in schools, Bingligual Homeroom teacher, Chinese teacher, Head of Chinese, and Dual Language Program Leader, learning with students and engaging in research-based teaching and learning excites me every day as an educator. Outside school, I am a teacher trainer, consultant, and writer. In addition, I love cooking and driving.
